Ceres Whole Grain Oats Steel Cut 900g

Oats are nutrient-rich grains packed with the natural goodness of wholegrain and cholesterol-fighting soluble fibre. Steel-cut oats are unrefined whole grain groats (the inner portion of the oat kernel) that have been dried and cut into two to three pieces by steel, rather than being rolled. They feature a dense and chewy texture and have a nuttier flavour. Steel cut oats take longer to cook than rolled oats, but they are so worth the wait.

For a healthy breakfast, put together 1 cup of steel-cut oats, a pinch of salt and 3 cups of water in a medium sauce pan. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add cream, a drizzle of manuka honey and dried fruit and nuts.
